Subjects covered: biology, biochemistry, clinical medicine, psychiatry, public health, dentistry, nursing, veterinary medicine, history of medicine, economics, ethics… Beyond these areas, Embase specialises in pharmacology and toxicology.

Geographic coverage: international, covering over 95 countries

Number of records: over 32 million. Please note that these 32 million references include all the references present in Medline.

Sources: more than 8,500 periodical titles searched, including 2,900 not available in Medline

Number of records added annually: approximately 1.5 million

Updated: daily, approximately 6,000 new references per working day

Also contains more than 2.4 million extracts from conference proceedings, from more than 7,000 conferences since 2009
