BibCNRS 2023 Subscriptions Campaign

The 2023 campaign to renegotiate electronic document subscriptions for the BibCNRS portal started in September 2022 and is still ongoing.

In order to keep you informed of the progress of the campaign, please find below a provisional overview of the entries and exits of the BibCNRS catalogue for your community.

BibCNRS INSU

Confirmed admissions :

Advanced Functional Materials and Advanced Materials (Wiley): Extension of our Wiley journal portfolio following the 2023 negotiations

Confirmed exits :

Cambridge University Press journals collection: The CNRS had signed an agreement in 2022 combining reading and unlimited open access publication with the publisher CUP. This one-year agreement, contracted on a probationary basis, confirmed the institution’s reservations about this type of agreement, which it preferred not to pursue. The decision was motivated in particular by the sub-optimal nature of the processing of publications and the significant additional costs requested by the publisher for the year 2023.

Outstanding releases:

TheMetaNews: Subscription on hold. A decision of the Steering Committee of the Directorate of Open Research Data (DDOR) has voted to transfer this subscription to a third CNRS directorate more competent in journalistic content subscriptions. The transfer is still under consideration.

A later message will clarify the final situation once the pending issues have been resolved.

The BibCNRS teams thank you for your loyalty and remain at your disposal.
