SCOPUS – Choosing where to publish: which quality indicators to use to evaluate a journal?

Publishing in scientific journals is a key step in researchers’ work. Having an article published in a prestigious magazine immediately promotes the work of its authors. But, did you know that about 20% of articles published in the top 1% of journals are not cited? Since the creation of the first impact indicator, others have proved their worth. The use of several indicators and the knowledge of their strengths and biases are essential to have a 360° view of the quality of a journal. In this session, we will give you all the tools so that you can judge the quality of journals for yourself and thus be able to determine where to publish your research.

Moderator: Sarah Rodrigues, Elsevier Consultant
