New – INIS CEA – Nuclear sciences and technologies, energies and the environment

Following the online launch of the IAEA’s INIS database for French Higher Education and Research organizations on the new platform INIS – Nuclear sciences and technologies, energies and the environmentread the news item on the Inist website –, we would like to inform you that access for CNRS personnel is now available via the “A database” tab on BibCNRS.

The International Nuclear Information System – INIS, operated by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), hosts one of the world’s largest bibliographic database on the peaceful uses of nuclear science and technology and the economic and environmental aspects of non-nuclear energy sources.

The INIS website in nuclear sciences and technologies, energies and the environment is run by the Inist-CNRS and is the result of the cooperation between the CEA and the CNRS. Its aim is to provide advanced search functions, a trilingual interface and the possibility for users to set up a user account and archive searches which is useful for scientific monitoring, for example.

The site contains the whole of the INIS database since 1970 – over 4 million bibliographic references – and is updated every month.
